First VisitBOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
New patients are currently being booked between the hours of 11.45am and 12.30pm Monday to Thursday. Before and after school times are reserved for those patients in treatment who attend regularly for checks. A letter will be mailed to you confirming your appointment date and time, and a patient information form will be enclosed for you to complete and return to us prior to your appointment. WHAT TO EXPECTYour first appointment includes a review of any relevant dental and medical history, a clinical examination and discussion regarding the clinical findings, and suggested treatment options. A scan radiograph will be taken to assist with the diagnosis. If it is appropriate to begin treatment immediately, you will be given the option of having a full set of orthodontic records taken (models, photographs and a ceph radiograph). Orthodontic records are required to formulate a treatment plan. A consultation appointment will then be scheduled to review the diagnosis and treatment plan.Children who are not ready for treatment immediately will usually be offered a recall appointment to monitor their occlusion. These appointments are scheduled in advance with a reminder notice sent two weeks prior to the date. These are short visits to review any changes and are generally at no charge (unless an X-ray is taken). There will be a charge for the examination. If full orthodontic records are taken and a treatment plan formulated then there will be an additional fee charged. Payment is appreciated on the day.tags: Orthodontist Auckland, Orthodontists Auckland |
